Natural or Holistic Medicine

Natural Medicine is an integrative approach to health and healing that recognizes the integrity and inherent healing capacity of the individual person. Natural medicine principles respect the intelligence of nature’s healing process. Methods of treatment are chosen to work with the patient’s own vital force, and include therapies as herbal medicine, nutrition, and dietary supplements.

How Natural Medicine is Used

"As a traditional natural medicine practitioner, Annie determines deficiencies in patients' health based on a medical assessment, symptoms, and Applied Kinesiology. Annie spends quality time getting to know you: typically over an hour with each person on the first visit."

Tools used to rebalance/restore patient health:

• Glandular extracts
• Herbs and flower essences
• Amino acids and electrolytes
• Vitamins and minerals
• Enzymes and essential fatty acids

• Bioenergetic therapies
• Protomorphogens (PMGs), nutrients to replenish cellular health
• Diet, exercise, and lifestyle assessment

Applied Kinesiology (AK)

Applied Kinesiology (AK, or muscle response testing) is a diagnostic tool to test organs (e.g. the liver, pancreas), endocrines (e.g. adrenal glands, thyroid), the nervous system, emotions, food allergies and more. An AK practitioner tests the patient’s neuromuscular system to find imbalances, and then corrects them using natural supplements.

MediPoint System

Annie combines AK with MediPoint, a computer software program with an ampullar test kit. Based on the law of compensation and homeostasis in the body, MediPoint is a standardized holistic approach to natural medicine. Patient handouts give detailed explanations of each organ or endocrine imbalance and holistic treatment protocols.

Acupuncture and Qi (Chi)

Acupuncture is an ancient medical tradition from China. Acupuncture is based on the belief that energy (Qi, or Chi) flows via energy channels (meridians) throughout the body. When disease, injury or pain occur, the channels may become blocked. Flow of Qi is disrupted, creating imbalance in the liver or kidneys, for example. An acupuncturist unblocks the channels by inserting fine, sterile needles into specific acupoints along meridians, to stimulate natural balance, free flow of Qi, and the healing of disease.
